Straits Settlements

The Straits Settlements were the British colonial territories for Penang, Dinding (returned to the state of Perak in 1935) Malacca and Singapore. They were originally established in 1826 by the British East India Company and came under direct British control in 1867. They colony was dissolved after the World War II in 1946.
