Popular place to go for dinner for locals and adventurous tourists alike. The mostly Chinese restaurants offer a wide variety of food. Conveniently for tourists most of the menus have pictures of the dishes which makes it a great place to try out new dishes. It’s recommended to go there with a group of people to have more variety by sharing dishes. A must-try is the Chicken Fish!
Most restaurants are open until the wee morning hours.

Jalan Alor upgrade construction underway
In early 2016 upgrade work as started (artist impression above, once work is completed in 2017) .
Despite a much need ugrade of infrastructure (piping, drainage etc.), also the store fronts will be "uniformed". We can only hope, that the character of the street will survive somehow. Good thing (for visitors), the street will be pedestrian only at night and blocked for traffic. More Information Here
