Chinatown streets from Bukit Cina to the area around Jonker Walk (Jalan Hang Jebat). Jonker Walk is closed for traffice during the weeken and turns in to a very busy street market.
The immigration of the Chinese started all the way back in the 16th century. A portion of the Chinese immigration intermarried with local women which lead to the Peranakan (Baba and Nonya) culture.
