Bangsar is the name of the a part of town just south-west of KL Sentral (Brickfields). Bangsar is one of the more affluent parts of down with some luxury condominiums and villa typo of housing areas occupying a hill with a few nice view over town..

Telawi Area
The commercial area of Bangsar Baru around Jalan Telawi and its side streets is where the action is. The area is popular hang-out place for expat and local yuppies but also food lovers of any kind. The many popular restaurants in the area. At night clubs and pups attract the night life crowd. The also 2 shopping malls (Bangsar Village 1 and 2) and various shops in the area. There is a Pasar Malam (night market) every sunday.

Getting to Bangsar
Easiest way is to take taxi from downtown KL (around RM10-20) . The Bangsar LRT stop (Kelana Jaya line, one stop past KL Sentral) is also not that far, but it will take a 15min walk to reach Jalan Telawi.
