How to get to Ampang Lookout Point
As there is no public transportation, you can only get there by car (taxi). From downtown it’s about a 30min -1h drive to get there depending on traffic. To safe money, you could take the LRT (Ampang Line) to Cempaka station and take the taxi from there. It’s about a 15min drive from there. However, it is recommended to use your own transport to get there.
Roadside food stalls / Pasar Malam
After the old Lookout Point was shut down in early 2012 (see information below), annew pasar malam type of area was established at the junction of Jalan Hulu Langat and Jalan Mulia 2/1, about 1km downhill from the closed Lookout Point. The stalls are open every day.

Ampang Lookout Point is currently closed (since 20/01/2012)!!!
Residents and trader and traders are protesting against the decision by the Muncipal Council and are filing a court case.
A member of the KajangMunicipal Council said: “The place has been shut down to avoid any landslide or any untoward incidents from happening. Plus, we have given enough time for the operators to provide us with proper documentation, including the CF, building plans and trading licences” and “The sealing off is indefinite”.
