I am staying at Red Palm hostel on Tengkat Tong Shin (Great place!). 5 minutes walk away is Tong Shin hospital.This is a private hospital that is government approved. For 40rm plus initial consultation fee RM25 you can get accupuncture treatment. They also have a herbalist pharmacy on the premises (prescription only).
Luna Bar, Roof-top bar near KL Tower

If you wanna go out and enjoy an amazing look over the city, go the Luna Bar. It?s in the Pan Global Building just oposite of the entrance to the KL Tower. You have to take the elevator to the 33rd floor. On Friday and Saturday there is a cover charge of RM 50. It?s open air and you can sit right next to edge of the building.

The Sky bar in the Traders Hotel just opposite the Petronas Towers (on the other site of the KLCC park) and adjacent to the conference center. Amazing view of the towers.
For the past few years there has been this scam going on in Kuala Lumpur and other Asian cities (I’ve been approached in Bangkok once too). Be careful when a stranger approaches you with a line like “Oh, I like your tattoo where did you get this done?” and then they ask where you’re from. Then, coincidentally, they have family member going that way too to study or something. Anyway, in the end you’ll be invited to their house and before you know you are in the middle of a poker game and will be forced to withdraw all your money. I know it’s weird and you could never fall for that, but I’ve seen enough travelers losing thousands (!) of dollars this way and they couldn’t even remember how it all happened. So be carefully and just ignore them, this people are good.

Chow Kit
The area features a large Indonesian community, and more recently, a small African community.
