Singapore is an island nation located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. At 704.0 sqkm (272 square miles), it is one of the few city-states in the world and the smallest country in Southeast Asia.

Perhentian Islands

The Perhentian Islands (Pulau Perhentian in Bahasa Malaysia) lie approximately 10 nautical miles (19 km) offshore the coast of northeastern Malaysia in the state of Terengganu, approximately 40 miles (64 km) south of the Thai border. The two main islands are Perhentian Besar ("Big Perhentian") and Perhentian Kecil ("Small Perhentian"). Popular for it’s beaches, snorkeling and driving. Like a real postcard.

The 12th general election in Malaysia
On march 8th Malaysians were called to vote a new parliament and state representatives for the 12th time since independence. Beyond any expectation the voters showed that the country didn't only progress in an economic sense but also matured politically. The election outcome is considered to lead Malaysia in a new era of transparent and multi-racial politics in this "political tsunami". The leading Barisan Nasional coalition, which lead the country for the past 50 years on 2/3 majority, dropped to simply majority with opposition gaining seats and taking over the states of Kelantan, Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor.
