Perhentian Islands
These 2 small island off the east coast are a highlight to any malaysia trip. Due to the monsoon this tropical paradise pretty much closes down between november and february.

Singapore

Singapore is an island nation located at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. At 704.0 sqkm (272 square miles), it is one of the few city-states in the world and the smallest country in Southeast Asia.

Kuala Terengganu

Kuala Terengganu is located at on at the east coast of the peninsula at the mouth of the Sungai Terengganu river. It’s the capital of the state of Terengganu which forms together with Kedah and Kelatan the heartland of malay culture. KT is good stop for one or 2 days before moving on along the eastcoast or towards the National Park / Tasik Kenyir. There are also day trips available to Pulau Rendang (Island) and Tasik Kenyir (Lake)

HEY THERE!
We are two girls travelling from Sweden and arrives in Malaysia in 4th november this year. Is it possible to visit Perhentian islands then or is the weather bad?

that’s just when the monsoon starts on the east coast so most place already start to shut down or are shut down already. However; monsoon doesn’t mean it always rains and sometimes there are sunny days too. So you might as well try your luck, but if the weather is bad there won’t be ferry service to the island. Best to check again early november directly with someone on the island. If you’re lucky you have good weather and the island virtually to yourself
