Faces of
Malaysia
Brunei

Tiny state in Borneo, sandwiched between Sarawak and Sabah. After it was a big regional player a few hundred years back, Brunei became rich upon the discovery of Oil in the 1940s. For a period time the Sultan of Brunei was the richest person in the world.

Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is the capital and the largest city of Malaysia. Being a young city (founded only in 1857) it developed fast into a bustling metropolis of 1.5 million people (6 million including the satellite cities in the Klang Valley). Kuala Lumpur, or simply KL (as it is it called by Malaysians), literally means “muddy estuary” in Bahasa Malaysia. With good and cheap accommodation, great shopping and even better food in this multi-cultural melting pot, increasing numbers of travellers are discovering this little gem of a city.
Having been in the shadow of other big cities in the region like Bangkok and Singapore, KL was put back on the map for good with the opening the Petronas Twin Towers in 1997, until 2004 the highest and still one of the most impressive buildings in the world. Though, the sights are not what makes this city unique, it’s KL itself and it’s mixture of people and visitors.

Introduction
Firefly Park Resort Bukit Belimbing in Kuala Selangor is the only place in this region where you can witness the sight of millions of fireflies flashing in synchrony, often referred to as the“Eighth Wonder of the World“. You will be taken on a boat ride along the Selangor River where the fireflies inhibit around the branches of the “Berembang trees along the riverbank.
Here, up to thousands of fireflies may group together on a tree, begining their display about one hour after sunset. A really bright display lasts for about two to three hours, continuing lower levels until dawn.

Chalet, Accommodation
Always putting the comfort of our visitors first, the chalet at the firefly hamlet is made of wood with tastefully designed on the stilt above the water.
The wooden houses are extremely cool and refreshing with all the modern amenities. The blooming lotus decorates the surrounding with simple but in good taste and some breeding fishes are always supplements to the vivid and vigorous atmosphere in the shallow water.

Special Night for Viewing "Firefly"
At the night with no moon, the lush of greenery stood still along both sides of the riverbar, the fireflies become extraordinary bright, and they blinked their sparlding eyes in disobedient posture.

“FIREFLIES“ TOUR
Our fleet of modern fiberglass boats are electrically powered, ensuring absolutely no noise and air pollution. The toneless, powerful boat, which delivered the passenger to the heart of
the river, roared in the flimsy voice, for fear that she would wake up the deeply asleep night and those fireflies were enjoying a sightseeing trip in the silence.
